March 2026 Update: Next-Gen AI Models, Large Document Support & Advanced Formatting

Access the world's most powerful AI models and handle complex documents with new editing capabilities for headers, footers, footnotes, and 100+ page files.

1. New Models & Smarter Auto Mode

We've integrated three frontier AI models to deliver superior performance across all your workflows – from complex analysis to structured writing.

New models available:

  • Gemini 3.1 Pro: Enhanced reasoning and multi-step problem solving

  • Claude Sonnet 4.6: Advanced document analysis and professional writing

  • GPT-5.3 Codex: Exceptional performance for technical and structured content

How it works: Select any of these models from the model picker, or let Auto Mode choose the best one for your task. Auto Mode now strictly selects Pro models based on the latest performance benchmarks, ensuring you get the best possible output for every request – whether you're drafting a contract, analyzing data, or creating a technical specification.

2. Large Document Support

You can now edit Word documents with 100+ pages using our new section-specific reading tools.

3. Headers, Footers & Footnotes

Create professional documents with complete formatting control.

What you can do:

  • Headers: Add company logos, document titles, and branding to repeat on every page

  • Footers: Include page numbers, confidentiality notices, and footer text

  • Footnotes: Insert citations, legal references, and explanatory notes with automatic numbering

How it works: When creating or editing documents, simply specify header, footer, or footnote content. Novis will format them correctly with proper placement and styling.

4. Smart Templates

We've upgraded template support to handle two distinct workflows, giving you more control over how templates are used.

  • General Styling Templates: Apply your organization's logos, fonts, colors, and visual identity to any new document. Perfect for maintaining brand consistency across all deliverables.

  • Pre-existing Content Templates: Use templates with standardized professional structures – like contract templates, proposal formats, or report frameworks – to create complex documents faster.

How it works: Upload a template to your workspace, then @reference it when creating new documents. Novis will either apply the styling or fill in the structured content based on your template type.

5. Insert Table Columns

You can now add columns to existing tables during document editing.

How it works: When editing a Word document with tables, you can insert new columns at any position. Novis will automatically populate the column based on your instructions.

6. Pinpoint Citation Links

Citation links now jump directly to the specific paragraph or section referenced in the source document.

How it works: Click any citation link in your document. Instead of opening the source at the top of the page, it now highlights the exact paragraph where the information was found.
